Fillings
Restoring decayed or broken teeth to look natural

White Fillings
Many patients have had fillings to rebuild worn teeth, restore following tooth decay, or to repair fractures. In the past silver (amalgam) fillings were used, which whilst effective, can look unsightly.
Here at Springfield Dental we prefer to use white fillings wherever possible, matching the colour of your own teeth. This means no matter how much you smile and laugh they won’t be visible.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long do white fillings last?
Whilst not quite as hard wearing as metal amalgam fillings, white fillings are now extremely wear resistant. They can last 15 – 20 years when looked after well.
Can I change my silver fillings to white?
Many patients choose to have fillings replaced with white ones when they are worn out. However you can choose to have fillings changed at any point, and especially those ones that are particularly noticeable.
